Details
Sonder — coined by John Koenig in The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. The realization that each person passing you on the street has a life as vivid and complex as your own: ambitions pursued across years, inherited memories, private losses, small joys, entire interior worlds that will never intersect with yours. A word that makes the world suddenly, overwhelmingly inhabited.
Heather dusty blue is the color of that feeling — expansive, soft, carrying distance and depth without coldness. The word sits across the chest in clean type, said plainly: this is what I know now. This is how I move through crowds — aware of the weight of other lives, quiet about it. For the person who has looked at a stranger on a train and felt, for a moment, the full strangeness of other consciousness.
Material
100% combed and ring-spun cotton, 4.2 oz/yd². Heather colorways in cotton-polyester blend.
Care

Quiet luxury, actually.
I was skeptical about the whole 'one word embroidered' thing but wearing it you get it. People notice without you having to say anything. Cotton is heavier than I expected — in a good way. Feels like it'll last.

Obsessed.
Bought this for myself after seeing it on a friend. It's my new weekend uniform. The stitching is clean and the fabric hasn't pilled at all after 3 washes.
-
Great piece, sleeves run a touch long.
Really nice quality for the price. Only knocking a star because the sleeves are slightly longer than I'm used to — not a dealbreaker, just heads up if you're between sizes. Embroidery is gorgeous.
-
Wore it three times this week.
If you're on the fence — just get it. It's the kind of piece that makes you feel put together even when you're doing nothing. I ordered the M in black and I'm going to buy the cream one next drop.
-
Feels handmade.
You can tell someone actually cared about this. The embroidery is tight, the seams are clean, and it washes beautifully. Not a single loose thread anywhere. Will absolutely order from the next drop.
-
Good fit, subtle detailing.
Bought the size up for a relaxed fit and it landed perfectly. The word embroidery is really understated — most people don't clock it until you're close. That's the whole point and I love it.
