How to measure a T-shirt before ordering online
To measure a T-shirt for online sizing, lay a tee you like flat without stretching it. Measure its chest width and shoulder-to-hem length using the new product’s measuring points, then compare both dimensions with that product’s chart. A flat garment width is not a body-chest circumference.
Choose the fit you want to repeat
Start with a reference tee that gives you the room you want. Use a roomy favourite for a relaxed fit, or a closer-fitting tee for a layer. Smooth it on a flat surface and keep inches with inches or centimetres with centimetres.
How to measure the current graphic tees
- Width: measure straight across the chest, one inch below the armholes. Keep the tee flat and do not double the number when comparing two flat garments.
- Length: measure from the high point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
- Sleeves, when shown: measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder, to the sleeve hem. A shoulder-seam measurement is different.
The 26 tees across Everyday Studies and Soft Structures Tees share a relaxed unisex cut and the following S–2XL width and length chart. Check the individual product page for the selected colour’s current sizes.
| Size | Flat width | Length |
|---|---|---|
| S | 18.00 | 26.50 |
| M | 20.00 | 28.50 |
| L | 22.00 | 30.20 |
| XL | 24.00 | 31.50 |
| 2XL | 26.00 | 32.50 |
Measurements describe the garment, not your body. The stated tolerance is 1 inch (2.54 cm). It is an allowance for variation, not extra ease to add to every measurement. Product pages also show centimetres; one inch equals 2.54 centimetres.
What if two sizes are close
Compare width and length together. For example, the current M tee is 20 inches wide and 28.5 inches long; L is 22 inches wide and 30.2 inches long. Choosing L adds both width and length. Decide which proportions fit your reference rather than automatically sizing up.
Do men and women use different tee charts
These tees use one unisex cut and chart. Men and Women are browsing categories, not different versions of the garment. Start from the measurements rather than a universal conversion between men’s and women’s size letters.
Can I use this chart for a hoodie
No. The Soft Structures Hoodies use a different, classic unisex fit and their own measurements. Compare a hoodie with a hoodie you already wear. The M hoodie, for example, is 22 inches wide and 29 inches long; its sleeve measures 35 inches from the centre back. Use the hoodie’s own chart and consider the layer you plan to wear underneath.
Can a model image tell me my size
The product galleries include provider-generated model mockups. They show the design, but do not establish a model’s height, worn size or your likely fit. Use the garment chart. The earlier Signature tee used another blank, so its old chart should not be carried across.
